Herbert W. Holman, 80, a long time Stoneham resident died October 29 in Peabody after a long period of failing health. Born in Arlington, MA on August 5, 1932 the son of the late Wardwell and Eleanor (Carter) Holman. Mr. Holman was raised in Lexington and was a graduate of Lexington High School and had been a Stoneham resident since 1963. He was retired from the Fab-Braze Company of Waltham. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served with the United States Marine Corps. He had been a member of the Good Sam R.V. Club.
Mr. Holman was the beloved husband of the late Barbara L. (Hart) Holman. He was the loving father of Herbert W. Holman, Jr. of Reading, Lori Smith and husband Shawn of W. Peabody, Glenn Holman & wife Ileana of FL, Wendy Zimmerman and husband Glen of Byfield and the late Danny Holman. He was the grandfather of Amanda, Bobby and Derek Smith, Janelle and Kevin Holman and Jaslene and Oliver Zimmerman. He was also the brother of Ruth Beauregard and Roberta Young of SC.
Private funeral services were held at the McDonald –Finnegan Funeral Home and interment with Military Honors was held at the Lindenwood Cemetery.
