Ida Macleod
Ida M. MacLeod, 86, of Peabody formerly of Wakefield died Saturday, October 11 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose.
Born in Everett on May 25, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret (Currie) MacLeod.
Ms. MacLeod had been a Peabody resident for the past 12 years and had been a Wakefield resident from 1950 to 1995. She was a graduate of Everett High School. Ms. MacLeod was a retired office manager for the former Hickey Oil Company of Wakefield. Ms. MacLeod was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church in Wakefield.
She is survived by her brother William MacLeod of Hartford, CT, her five nieces, two nephews, several great nieces and nephew and one great great nephew. Ms. MacLeod was predeceased by her sister Pearl MacLeod and her brother Daniel MacLeod.
Funeral service will be private
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 209 Broadway, Saugus, MA 01906.
