Irene Powell

Irene N . Powell , 89, of Boston formerly of Allston died on Wednesday, December 17 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Born in Fitchburg on April 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Clara (Sawyer) Cormier.

Mrs. Powell was a retired Payroll Supervisor at the Harvard Trust Company.

She was the wife of the late Herbert V. Powell . She was the sister of the late Henry and Alfred Cormier. Sister-in-law of Earl and Lois Christopher of Nokomis, FL, formerly of Lynnfield, and Raymond and Connie Powell of Tampa, FL and aunt of David, Mark, Joseph, Terry, Sherry, and Jimmy.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday January 17 at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friend may call at the funeral home prior to the service starting at 9:00 A.M. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.
