Irene Robinson

Irene Robinson, 98, a Wakefield resident since 1944 died on Thursday, September 23 at the Woodbriar of Wilmington.

Born in Taunton on February 26, 1912 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Claire (Arsenault) LeBlanc.

Mrs. Robinson was raised and educated in Taunton. She was a retired bank teller at Shawmut Bank in Wakefield. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Mother's Club at St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield and also volunteered at the rectory and bingo.

Mrs. Robinson was the wife of the late Maurice Robinson. She is survived by her three daughters; Dora Carroll and her husband John of Pittsfield, Patricia Gentile and her husband Anthony of Reading and Joyce Berggren and her husband John of Dracut, her son Richard Robinson and his wife Maryann of Eden, New York and her sister Jean Vincent of CA. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; Jack, Philip, Susan, David, Kathleen, Sally and Michael and her five great grandchildren; Caitlin, Tyler, Daniel, Timothy and Drew.

A funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
