Irene Surette

Irene V . Surette , 95, a lifelong resident of Wakefield died on Wednesday, January 21 at the Kirkwood House in Wakefield.

Born in Wakefield on June 13, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Elmer F. and Mary Jennie (White) Bennett.

Mrs. Surette was the former owner of the Albion Street Home which housed 10 men. She ran the home from 1966 to 1976. She was a member of St. Joseph parish in Wakefield and also the Ladies Sodality.

Mrs. Surette was the wife of the late Rubin I. Surette . Mother of William E. Surette of E. Wakefield, NH, Ronald Surette of Reading, Barbara Duncan of Wakefield, Marjorie Fazio of Seabrook, NH and the late Donald J. Surette . Sister of Donald Bennett of Stoneham, Robert Bennett of Wakefield, George and Richard Bennett of Westford, Margaret McQuarrie of Wakefield and the late Nelson Bennett, Thomas Bennett, Edith Garrett, Christine Mayberry, Helen Doucette, Bernice Collins and Mary Malonson. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10:00 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Monday, from 4 to 8 P.M. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
