Isabelle J . Copland , 92, a Wakefield resident since 1952, died on Tuesday, June 18 at her home.

Born in Scotland on March 10, 1921 she was the daughter of the late William and Jean (MacCallum) Miller.

Mrs. Copland was raised and educated in Scotland and came to the United States in 1952 on the Queen Mary. She was a retired secretary for David Gourley Photography in Wakefield. Mrs. Copland was a member of the First Parish Congregational Church in Wakefield and a Deaconess and member of the LL Circle at the Church. She was also a member of the International Club.

Mrs. Copland was the wife of the late Peter M. Copland . She was the mother of Lesley Lacava of Wakefield, Gordon Copland and his wife Wendy of Methuen and Sheila Martinez and her husband Frank of North Reading. She was the sister of Betty Keith of England and the late Allen Miller and Reina Rust. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
