Itha Ricard, 90, died at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital peacefully under Hospice care and surrounded by her family on December 5th.

Born in St. Pie Deguire, Canada, on February 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Noel and Odelie (St. Germain) Villiard. Mrs. Ricard was raised and educated in Manchester, NH. For many years she lived in Wallaston and was a hairdresser. She had been a Wakefield resident for the past 10 years and was active in Senior Citizens activities at the McCarthy Center. She was an accomplished knitter and donated many of her products to various charitable organizations including the Morgan Memorial where she did volunteer work.

Mrs. Ricard was wife of the late Wilfrid E. Ricard . She is survived by her daughter Sylvia White and her husband Ronald of Wakefield. Also her granddaughter Nicole Scotina and her husband Ronald of No. Reading and her great grandchildren Aaron & Julie.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Tuesday at 11:00. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 9AM. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, NH.
