Jackson Terfry

Jackson C . Terfry , 88, a longtime Wakefield resident, died January 15 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Everett on July 23, 1925 he was the son of the late Churchill D. and Nellie (Rand) Terfry .

Mr. Terfry was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1943. He later attended Bentley College. He had worked for Ford Motor Company before opening Wakefield Auto Sales and Wakefield Rental Car. He had been a Wakefield resident since 1959. He was a member of the Wakefield Elks, Stoneham Coin Club and Waltham Currency Club.

Mr. Terfry was the husband of the late Helen (Flynn) Terfry . He was the father of John M. Terfry of Gloucester, Mary S. Hawthorne of CA, and Kathleen A. Stande and her husband Kevin of NH. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11 o'clock. There will be no visitation.
