James Donaldson

James W. Donaldson, 60, of Peabody, formerly of Wakefield, died on Wednesday, May 11 at his home.

Born in Winchester on November 16, 1950 he was the son of the late Francis and Mildred (Holt) Donaldson.

Mr. Donaldson was a longtime resident of Wakefield and a graduate of Wakefield High School. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He had worked for the Wakefield Department of Public Work and later retired from Walmart. Mr. Donaldson was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Donaldson was the husband of the late Robin (Clark) Donaldson. He is survived by his two sons, Jason P. and Jared J. Donaldson, both of Wakefield, his sister, Jane Donaldson of CA and his granddaughter, Sydney A. Donaldson. He is also survived by his previous wife Linda J. (Cucurullo) Donaldson. Mr. Donaldson was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Donaldson.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
