James Allen

James F . Allen , 69, a resident of Wakefield for 42 years, died on Thursday, December 6 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Winchester on December 20, 1942 he was the son of the late Standard F . and Margaret (McHale) Allen .

James was a graduate of St. Patrick High School in Stoneham, Class of 1960 and Northeastern University in Boston. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era and was a retired Arlington Police Officer.

James was the husband of the late Eileen C. (Tierney) Allen . He was the father of James (Jay) Allen of South Boston, Scott P. Allen of Wakefield and Heather A. Allen of Salem. He was the brother of Robert Allen of MD, Treva Spinosa of Laconia, NH, Janice Gordon of Canton and Marcia Fitzmaurice of Stoughton and the grandfather of Isabella Allen . He was the companion of Norma Finn of Swampscott.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
