James Muise

James L . Muise , 83, of Reading, formerly of Wakefield, died on Sunday, October 23 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.

Born in Wakefield on November 14, 1927 he was the son of the late John J. and Mary Muise .

Mr. Muise was raised and educated in Wakefield. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy. He had retired from the Reading Housing Authority in 1990. A country and western musician he played for many years and appeared on television and radio throughout New England. He was also a member of the Reading Veterans and American Legion.

Mr. Muise was the adored husband of Mary Lorraine (Burbine) Muise . They just celebrated their 64th Wedding Anniversary. He was the beloved father of Wayne P. Muise & his wife Candace and Alan J. Muise all of Reading and the late James L . "Jimmy" Muise . He was the brother of Catherine Allain of Lynn & the late Reggie, Paul, Alfred & Frank Muise and Evelyn Jagodenski. He was the grandfather of Jason Clough & his wife Stacy of NC, Ryan Muise of Reading, Laura Jean Costa of Woburn & Lindsay Muise of Billerica and the great grandfather of J.P.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
