James Lilley, Jr.

James B. Lilley, Jr., 84, of Stoneham, died Tuesday August 2 at the Bear Hill Nursing Center in Wakefield.

Born in Winchester on May 6, 1927 he was the son of the late James & Helen (Byron) Lilley.

Mr. Lilley was a life long Stoneham resident and graduated from Saint Patrick School and later from Boston College. He was a retired sales representative with the American Can Company and later a Real Estate Agent with Century 21 of Somerville. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and past member of the Knights of Columbus of Stoneham. A veteran, he served in the United Sates Navy during WWII.

Mr. Lilley is survived by his wife Ruth (Fleming) Lilley. Also, his son David J. Lilley and his wife Karen of Belmont and his grandson Andrew Lilley. He was predeceased by his sisters Margaret and Helen Lilley.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 9 a.m. to be followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Thursday 3 a�" 6 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
