James McDonough

James M. McDonough, 75 of Reading formerly of Malden died Monday April 21, at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.

Born in Somerville, June 15, 1937 he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (O'Shea) McDonough.

Jim was a graduate of Somerville High School class of 1954. He also attended Burdett Business School in Boston. Jim served in the National Guard. He was a member of St. Agnes Church in Reading, and was a longtime realtor for Century 21 in Malden.

Jim is survived by his wife Sarah (Carson) McDonough, his daughter Amy Vaughan and her husband Jeffrey of Salem, his sister Ann James of Billerica and his brother Michael McDonough of Windham, NH. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers; John and Francis McDonough.

The funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church, 168 Woburn St., Reading at 10:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.

Interment will take place at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90226
