James F. Michigan, age 67, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 21, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on January 7, 1957, in Medford, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by Helen and Clement Baron of Stoneham and Albert and Mary Michigan of Melrose. He grew up in Everett and Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High School, class of 1975.
James had a passion for playing cards and golf. He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Patriots. He worked as a Warehouse Specialist for Becton, Dickinson, and Company, for twenty-five years, making significant contributions to the medical technology manufacturing industry.
James is survived by his former wife, Pamela Michigan, his spouse of twenty years, and their children, David Blanch, his wife Patricia Blanch; James M. Michigan, his wife Christine Michigan; and Ryan Michigan.
He leaves behind his loving siblings, Shirley Lozzi, her husband, Thomas Lozzi; Martin Michigan, his wife Joelle Michigan; Lynne Baron; John Baron, his wife, Anne Baron; and Scott Baron, his wife, Stephanie Baron. He was the beloved grandfather of Hope, Jack, Rachael, and Madison. He leaves many cherished friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family members behind.
James will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. He will live on in our hearts and memories forever.
A wake service will be held at McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham, on Friday, August 2, from 4:00 — 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society in James F. Michigan’s memory.
