James P. Quill, 72, of Wakefield, died on Thursday, January 3 at the Winchester Hospital.
Born in Boston on February 24, 1940, he was the son of the late James C. and Hazel (Cleary) Quill.
Mr. Quill was raised in Revere and had served in the U.S. Air Force. He had worked for both Raytheon and Northrop as an engineer.
Mr. Quill was the beloved husband of Lillian M. (D'Angelo) Quill. He was the loving father of Patty Quill of Stoneham and Linda Goggin & her husband James of W. Peabody. He was the brother of Jane Curtis & her husband James of FL & the late Elizabeth Powell. He was the grandfather of Christopher, Ryan and Matthew Goggin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 9 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from1-4 p.m.
