James Schloss

James S . Schloss , 95, of Wakefield died Monday August 27, 2012 in Tewksbury after a long period of failing health.

Born in Portland, ME on May 15, 1917 he was the son of the late Alfred and Agnes (Nadeau) Schloss .

Mr. Schloss was raised in Maine and served in the United States Merchant Marine. He had been a Wakefield resident since 1953 and had been a member of the Greenwood Union Church of Wakefield. He was a retired welder for the Mobil Oil Corporation.

Mr. Schloss was the husband of the late Elizabeth C. (Edson) with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. He was the father of Janet E. Tetrault & her husband David and Barbara L. Schloss , all of Wakefield, Howard E. Schloss & his wife Deborah of TX, Richard E. Schloss of Wakefield and Betsy A. Richmond of Beverly. He was the brother of the late Alfred Schloss and Claire Williamson. He was the grandfather of Christopher Hilton & his wife Christine, Timothy Hilton & his wife Tiffany, Andrew Tetrault & his wife Christine, Janelle Tetrault and Erich, Heather and David Schloss . He is also survived by his great grandchildren Joel and Neveah.

Visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield Thursday from 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment services will be private.
