James O'Connor

James W . O'Connor , 48, of Haverhill formerly of Wakefield, died on Friday, October 10 at New England Medical Center in Boston.

Born in Melrose on December 13, 1959, he was the son of the late David T. and Eleanor M. (O'Connell) O'Connor .

Mr. O'Connor was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1977. He had also attended Northeastern University and Suffolk University. Mr. O'Connor was a Quality Control Engineer for Analog Devices in Wilmington. He enjoyed traveling to Maine and Vermont.

Mr. O'Connor was the brother of Mary Ellen Downey and her husband Ken of Reading, Jane E. Tecce of Malden and the late David M. O'Connor . He was the brother-in-law of Nancy (Blackington) O'Connor of Wakefield and the late James Tecce and Uncle of Thomas & Jennifer O'Connor , Kevin and Liz Downey, Melissa Hegerty, Deanna Tecce and the late James Tecce. .

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friend may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery.

The family wishes to acknowledge the Cardiac Transplant Team at Tufts Medical Center for their care and also friends and associates at Analog Devices in Wilmington for their support.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cardiac Transplant Program at Tufts Medical Center, 800 Washington, St., Box 231, Boston MA 02111.
