Janet Cartmill

Janet R . Cartmill , age 99, formerly a long time Lynnfield resident, died Tuesday, September 22 in Orlando, Florida.

Born in Boston on August 19, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Helen M. (Sibley) Rockwood. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Cartmill , Jr. She was the loving mother of John W. Cartmill of Virginia, Donald W. Cartmill of Oregon, and Richard A. Cartmill of Florida. She was the sister of the late Robert W. Goodspeed. She was the cherished grandmother of Matthew, James and Justin Cartmill , Elizabeth Long, and Sarah Cartmill Odello.

Janet was a graduate of Wakefield High School and of Simmons College in Boston. Having been a long time Lynnfield resident, Janet was a member of the Centre Congregational Church. She had worked for American Mutual Insurance Company as well as the Lynnfield Public Library from where she retired. Janet had enjoyed retirement years in Florida.

A private graveside service was held at the Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
