Janet Rice

Janet L . Rice , 69, of Malden, formerly of Wakefield, died on Sunday, August 7 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.

Born in Somerville on March 15, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Philip W. and Ruth E. (Foote) Rice .

Mrs. Rice was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She was a registered nurse in El Paso, TX. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lynnfield.

Mrs. Rice was the mother of Janet R. and her husband Bill, John P.K. and his wife Linda L ., Jill M., and Jodi A. She was the sister of Ruth Alessi of Wakefield, Judy Feener of Lynn and the late Philip Rice . She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 400 Essex St., Lynnfield on Wednesday at 9 a.m. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn in Peabody.
