Janet Lyons

Janet Bridget Lyons , age 59, of Hampton, NH formerly of Stoneham, MA died Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Born in Winchester, MA on February 1, 1961 she was the daughter of the late William J. and Shirley Mary (Blout) Lyons .

Janet was raised in Stoneham, MA and attended Stoneham High School. She went on to The University of New Hampshire for both her undergraduate and master's work. She received her master's in social work and then later attended Granite State College for her teaching degree. Janet had been a longtime employee of the New Hampshire school district and was well loved by students and families alike along many towns. She was an active member of the New Hampshire teacher's union. Janet loved children, a passion that stemmed from her years as a social worker. She also enjoyed her work for the Visiting Angels. Janet was a great cook and was always the chef during the holidays. She loved the ocean.

She is survived by her daughter, Kasey Enerson and her husband Nate of Cloquet, MN; her brother, Kevin Lyons and his wife Cynthia of Wakefield, MA; her sister Patricia Breault of Wakefield, MA; her nephews Stephen Breault of Reading, MA and his partner Tony Moore of RI, and Daniel and David Lyons , both of Wakefield, MA; and her two grandchildren who lovingly called her "Nana," Kolt and Hunter Enerson.

A future memorial service will be planned.
