Janet Martin

Janet F. Martin, age 84, a long time Wakefield resident died in Lynnfield on February 26. She was born in Melrose on January 24, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Wesley and Viola (Hudson) Farnsworth. She was raised in North Reading and was a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1950. She had been a long time resident of Wakefield and was a very active member of the First Parish Congregational Church. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed many years together at her summer home in Rockport.

Mrs. Martin was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Martin, Jr. She was the loving mother of Bo Martin and his wife Kathi of Wakefield and Thomas Martin and his wife Jill of Lynnfield and the late Kathleen E. Martin. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Tori, Emma, Luke, Thomas and Amanda.

Her Funeral Service will be held in the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St. Wakefield Friday March 3 at 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery.
