Janet Orcutt

Janet Orcutt, age 75, of Peabody MA, died Tuesday July 12, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 3, 1946 and was the daughter of late Harold and Helen (Moloy) Simonds.

Janet was the beloved wife of the late Arthur F. Orcutt, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Jessica Orcutt and her wife Stephanie DiMichele of Wilbraham, MA, Janine Bennett and her husband Greg of Salem, NH, and Andrew Orcutt of Boston, MA. She was the sister of Charles Simonds of Chelmsford, MA, Helen Creedon and Marilyn Simonds, both of Arlington, MA, and the late Harold Simonds; and she was the sister-in-law of Nancy (Orcutt) Karthas and her husband David Karthas of Sylmar, CA. Janet was the adoring grandmother of Amelia Bennett, Connor Orcutt and Cole Orcutt. She also had many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Janet loved to travel and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20 from 4-7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody on Thursday, July 21 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Winchester Hospital - Cancer Care Center, 620 Washington St, Winchester, MA 01890.
