Jean F. Kerr, 85, of Middleton formerly of Wakefield died on Thursday, February 20 at the Hathorne Hill Nursing Center in Danvers.
Born in Everett on January 2, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Gertrude (Conron) Ingraham.
Mrs. Kerr was a graduate of Cheverus High School in Malden, Class of 1947 and Katherine Gibbs School of Business in Boston. She worked as an office manager for Damigella Distributors in Everett for 36 years and also worked at Leonard's Florist in Beverly. Mrs. Kerr had volunteered at Care Dimensions (Hospice of the North Shore) in Danvers and for HEC Retreat (Handicap Encounters Christ).
She was the wife of the late of the late Wilbur J. Kerr. Mother of Lisa Harris and her partner Paul Bordonaro of Tyngsboro. Adopted mother of Donna Mahan of North Truro. Grandmother of Joseph Harris and Benjamin Harris. Sister of Sister Marilyn Ingraham of New York, Jack Ingraham and his wife Patricia of Osterville, Lawrence Ingraham and his wife Lisa of Arizona and the late Frederick, Paul, Wendell and Peter Ingraham. Sister-in-law of Barbara Ingraham of Danvers. Dear friend of Alice Tierney of Middleton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Harbor of Hope Christian Church, 68 Princeton St., North Chelmsford on Monday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Sunday from 1-4pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Care Dimensions (Hospice of the North Shore), 75 Sylvan St., Suite B102, Danvers, MA 01923.
