Jean Marie LeBlanc , age 87, a lifelong Stoneham resident, died Friday, April 24 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Winchester on August 2, 1932 she was the daughter of the late John and Augusta (Pothier) LeBlanc .

Jean was raised and educated in Stoneham. She had attended St. Patrick School and graduated from Stoneham High School, Class of 1950. She then went on to Cambridge Hospital where she received her degree in nursing which began a long and fulfilling career as a register nurse. She also had a master's degree in psychology from Cambridge College. Jean enjoyed taking care of her home; she loved to bake, cook and sew. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing and would attend many events hosted at various halls throughout the local area. Her most cherished memories were of family vacations to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

She was the loving mother of Beverly A. Sullivan of Woburn, Jon P. Barstow and his wife Susan Belanich of Westford, Gregory R. Barstow and his wife Stephanie of Boston, and Andrea B. Andrews and her husband Mark of Saugus. She was the sister of Marilyn Testa and her late husband Robert of No. Reading and the late Lorraine Prive and her late husband Andrew. She was the cherished grandmother of Casey, Molly, & Tyler Sullivan, Ciara & Sarah Barstow, and Connor & Aidan Andrews. She is also survived by her great grandchild, Beau, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services will be private. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, Stoneham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
