Jean B. Miguel, age 88, of Stoneham died Thursday, March 16 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington after a brief illness.
Born in Everett, MA on July 2, 1928 she was the daughter of the late George A. and Jessie (Babcock) Dawe.
Mrs. Miguel was raised in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School. She went on to work for the Federal Reserve Bank following graduation. She has enjoyed crafts, specifically hand painting wood, which her father, a craftsman himself, helped her design. Mrs. Miguel loved to cook and to bake dessert. Above all, she loved her family and her grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Edward J. Miguel. She was the mother of Elaine Connelly and her husband Ken of Reading. She was the grandmother of James Connelly of Reading and Katlyn Dumais and her husband David of Stoneham. She is also survived by her sister Mary Piercey of Saugus.
Her Funeral service will be held in the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield on Monday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Sunday from 1-4pm. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
