Jean E. Proctor (Damelio, Hamel) 69, of Pepperell formerly of Stoneham died on Saturday, April 14 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on October 9, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Edward R. and Jessie M. (Thomas) Hamel.
Jean was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She was a retired Dental Assistant. Jean enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
She was the wife of the late David J.M. Proctor. Jean is survived by her three daughters; Karen M. Damelio of Falmouth, Lauren E. Stewart and her husband Christopher of Stoneham and Jennifer L. Maxwell and her husband Glenn of Plainville and her two sisters; Eleanor Barry of Wakefield and Louise Mullaney of North Andover. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; Gavin D. Maxwell, Kyle C. Stewart, Garrett A.D. Maxwell, Brandon C. Stewart, Avari L. Maxwell, Stella J.D. Noonan and Lydia A. Maxwell. Jean was predeceased by her brother Thomas Hamel.
A funeral service will be held in the First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Wakefield on Thursday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.
