Jeanette Heffernan

Jeanette M. Heffernan, 80, of Reading died on Friday, January 13 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Medford on February 12, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Alice M. (Johnson) McKenna.

Jeanette was a life long resident of Reading and a graduate of Reading High School, Class of 1949. She was a member and a former Administrative Assistant at St. Joseph Church in Wakefield.

Jeanette was dedicated to her family and enjoyed reading.

She was the loving mother of Donna O'Hagan and her husband Brendan of Reading, Diane Heffernan of North Andover, Bob Heffernan and his wife Barbara of Wakefield, and Michael Heffernan of Reading. She was the sister of Eleanor Coogan of Methuen and James McKenna of FL. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
