Jeanette Klapes

Jeanette M. Klapes, 89, of North Andover, formerly of Lynnfield, died on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Home in North Andover.

Born in Wakefield on June 21, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Albert P. and Martha (Dexter) Mansfield.

Jeanette was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1941. She was also a graduate of Vermont Junior College in Montpelier, VT and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School. She had been a Lynnfield resident before moving to North Andover in 1972. Jeanette enjoyed gardening and sewing

She was the wife of Michael C. Klapes of North Andover and the late John Brockbank. She was the mother of Marilyn B. Nichols and her husband Daniel of Salem, NH, and Brenda DeFazio of Fineyville, PA. She was the step-mother of Martha F. Morong and Jeffrey M. Klapes both of Wakefield. She was the sister of the late Clifford, and Richard Mansfield, and Shirley Creasey. She was the grandmother of Amanda, Matthew, and Derek and great grandmother of Hayley.

A Funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. A period of visitation will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment, Willow Cemetery Lynnfield
