Jeanne Murphy

Jeanne F. Murphy, 85, a Lynnfield since 1955 and formerly of Somerville, died on Sunday, October 16 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody.

Born in Somerville on May 15, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Hector and Euginie (Babineau) Doucet.

Mrs. Murphy was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of St. Clement High School in Somerville. She was a retired Vice President at the Burlington Bank and Trust and a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield.

Mrs. Murphy was the wife of Bernard P. Murphy. She was the mother of Debbie Cantwell & her husband Don of Pepperell, Cindy Murphy & her husband Stephen Burke of Mill Valley, CA, Lisa Douglas & her husband Scott of Ramona, CA and the late Linda Murphy. She was the grandmother of Marissa & Andrew Cantwell, Evan & Liam Burke and Sandi & Patrick Douglas and the sister of the late Lorraine Spees.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Grove & Salem Sts., Lynnfield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8pm. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield..
