Jeanne L . O'Brien of Melrose formerly of Boynton Beach, Florida, died on Wednesday, November 6 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Boston on April 16, 1929 she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Sullivan) Usher.

Mrs. O'Brien was raised and educated in Dorchester. She was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Church in Melrose and St. Thomas Moore in Boynton Beach, Florida. Mrs. O'Brien enjoyed playing Bingo

She was the wife of the late Francis J. O'Brien . Mrs. O'Brien is survived by her six children; James O'Brien of West Palm Beach, FL, Robert O'Brien of Merrimac, Daniel O'Brien and his wife Kimberly of Stoneham, Geraldine Rowe and William O'Brien both of Wakefield and David O'Brien and his wife Caroline of Melrose and her sister Geraldine Cudmore of Walpole. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and her 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. O'Brien was predeceased by her brother and her 4 sisters.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment will be Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
