Jeanne Murphy

Jeanne A. Murphy, 85, of Wakefield died on Saturday, May 12 at the Life Care Center of Plymouth.

Born in Boston on March 23, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Ibrie and Allura (Curtis) Frank.

Mrs. Murphy was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School. She had been a Wakefield resident since 1950 and was a member of St. Joseph Church. She was also a member of the Mother's Club and Ladies Sodality at the church. Mrs. Murphy enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was the wife of the late Robert F. Murphy. She was the mother of Elaine Taylor of Meredith, NH, Roberta Preston of Plymouth, and Robert Murphy Jr. of Wakefield. She was the sister of the late Mildred Keith and Barbara Ryder. Mrs. Murphy is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
