Jeannette McIsaac

Jeannette M. McIsaac, 72, of Wakefield formerly of Malden, died on Tuesday, October 26 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer of the fallopian tube.

Born in Waltham on May 23, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Sarah (Allia) Orifice.

Mrs. McIsaac had been a Wakefield resident since 2004. She was raised in Waltham and was a graduate of Waltham High School. Mrs. McIsaac had retired from Water Works Supply Company in Malden. She was a member of St. Joseph parish in Wakefield and was active in senior activities in Wakefield.

Mrs. McIsaac is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert F. McIsaac, her five children; Robert F. McIsaac Jr. of Lowell, Francis C. McIsaac of Wakefield, Mariann Moscone of Wakefield, Jeanne L. Steele of Melrose and Christine Kurdzionak of Malden, her brother Salvatore Orifice of Wakefield, her five sisters; Frances Giordano of Franklin, Margaret Venuti of Wakefield, Lena Lamore of Sudbury, Virginia Fanara of Waltham and Marion Anthony of Gloucester. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Russell and Robert Steele, Gene and Elizabeth Moscone and John and Allia Sarah Kurdzionak. She was predeceased by her four brothers; Santo Orifice, Sebastian Orifice, Philip Orifice and Louis Orifice and her two sisters; Rose Violette and Adeline Compardy.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Medical 5 Unit at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
