Jiovanni C. Luciani

Jiovanni C. Luciani, age 20 of Wakefield, died on Monday September 4
at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on February 27, 2003.

Jiovanni (Jio) was the beloved son of John C. Luciani Jr. and Susan
(Armao) Luciani.  He attended Wakefield High School, class of 2021. He
played bass in the orchestra, did lights and sound for the Wakefield
Theater Arts shows and especially enjoyed doing sound for Jolly Jingle
Express.

Jio (Jio) was a first year EE student at UMass Lowell when he was
diagnosed with GBM. He passed away after an eighteen month battle. He
courageously endured three surgeries, two rounds of radiation and four
rounds of chemotherapy.

Jio played piano when he was young and bass in high school.  He
enjoyed listening to Steely Dan and Chicago in the shower, listening
to 70s and 80s music outside the shower and his favorite King Crimson
song is Starless. Aside from his love for music, Jio was an avid
Boston sports fan. In March he checked off a bucket list item, a Red
Sox Opening Day. He enjoyed playing golf, going to Maine, the beach, a
good cheeseburger, a Starbucks peach green tea lemonade, going out to
breakfast, and wearing Hawaiian shirts.  He especially loved Sunday
Fun Days and spending time with family and friends.

During the pandemic, armed with YouTube, Jio learned Solidworks to
create shop drawings, Fusion360 for 3D printing and enough small
engine repair to create a little repair business, "Jio's Small Engine
Repairs".  He also had a side-hustle repairing/reselling CraigsList
freebie mowers.

Jio was the beloved brother of Michael Luciani and his wife Daniella
of Wilmington, John Luciani and his wife Shannon of Orange Park, NY,
and Heather Luciani and her partner Zack of Hagerstown, MD. He was the
nephew of James Armao and his partner Gina of Medford and Andrea
R. Blackmer of Mascoutah, IL.  He is also survived by his cousins,
Kristina, Jessica, Kimberly, Rachel, Ryan and Luna, as well as many
other his nieces and nephews, good friend Kyleigh Norton, his many
beloved "Aunties" and many cousins.

Jio was an intelligent, talented, humorous and caring young man.  He
will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald
