Joan Elaine Peach, 77, of Wakefield died Tuesday, December 13 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Everett, MA on February 20, 1934 she was the daughter of the late William and Marion (Perry) Sparks.
Joan was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1952 and had been a Wakefield resident for the last 47 years. She had worked in the Wakefield School System for 25 years.
Mrs. Peach was the beloved wife of John M. Peach for 57 years. She was the devoted mother of David J. Peach and his wife Matilda of Swampscott, Jeffery M. Peach and his wife Nancy of Bedford, NH and Kimberly A. Bougie and her husband Mark of KY. She was the sister of the late Muriel Berry, William Sparks and Beverly Nelson. Loving grandmother of Matthew, Kristen and Michael Bougie and Taylor, Emily and Nicole Peach.
A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Saturday at 11 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3 to 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
