John Duncanson

John A . Duncanson , 94, of Wakefield formerly of Melrose and Everett died on Friday, December 30 at his residence.

Born in Everett on September 28, 1917 he was the son of the late Charles and Eva (Camier) Duncanson .

Mr. Duncanson had been a Wakefield resident for the past 50 years. He was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1935 and Lowell Institute. He had retired in 1982 from Polaroid as a Tool Maker. Mr. Duncanson was a member of the Wakefield Masonic Golden Rule Lodge A .F. & A .M. He was a World War II Army Veteran. Mr. Duncanson enjoyed fishing and hunting and had is own model shop.

He was the husband of the late Josephine (Hammond). Mr. Duncanson is survived by his three children; John A . Duncanson , Jr. of Austin, TX, Janet E. Hawkes and her husband Bruce of No. Reading and David E. Duncanson and his wife Deb of W. Newbury, his three grandchildren; Lisa Sullivan, Michael Hawkes and Brian Hawkes and his two great grandchildren; Josie and Daniel Sullivan.

His funeral service will be held in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 5 Bryant St., Wakefield on Thursday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
