John Bohannon

John F. Bohannon, 64 of North Andover and a former resident of Reading and Stoneham died Thursday, January 22 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston

Born in Cambridge on December 19, 1944 he was the son of the late Lushus and Elizabeth (Corcoran) Bohannon.

Mr. Bohannon was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of St. Clements High School in Somerville. He was the former owner of Village Gardener Landscaping Co. of Reading for 30 years. Mr. Bohannon had also worked in the oil industry and was a member of the Teamsters Local #25.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joyce E. (Connors) Bohannon. He was the loving father of Kim M. Racca and her husband Anthony of Andover and the late Christine A Bohannon. He was the grandfather of John A. & Samantha C. Racca. He was also the brother of Mark Bohannon and the late Ronald & Paul Bohannon.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham on Monday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 1-5 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to the John and Christine Bohannon Memorial Fund for HCM Research, Brigham & Women's Hospital, 116 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02116
