John Correia

John J. Correia, 59, of Wakefield, MA formerly of Pawtucket, RI died Tuesday March 20 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Born in Pawtucket on July 4, 1952 he was the son of the late Vasco S. and Irene (Gagnon) Correia.

John was a graduate of LaSalle High School in Providence, and Rhode Island College. He had been a Wakefield resident for the past 30 years. John was a Materials Engineer and was the owner of Stannous Technologies of Wakefield.

John was the husband of Catherine (Booth) Correia. He was the father of Ellen Correia Golay and her husband Geddes of New York, NY and Catherine E. Correia, and Kelsey A. Correia both of Brookline.

A Funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, MA on Saturday at 4 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday prior to the service from 2-4 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in John's memory to Governors Academy Annual Fund Gift, 1 Elm St., Byfield, MA 01922.
