John DeAngelis

John R. "Bob" DeAngelis , 81 of No. Andover and a former longtime Stoneham resident died Monday July 25 in Haverhill, MA. He was born in Winchester on August 17, 1934 and was the son of the late Milio and Filomena (Buonarosa) DeAngelis . Bob was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of the Stoneham High School, Class of 1952. He later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean and Vietnam era . He was a retired programmer from the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles and was also a member of the Wakefield Lodge of Elks for many years.

Bob was the beloved husband of the late Rosalie (Romano). He is survived by his dear friend Priscilla Hudson of Bradford. He was the cousin of the late Shirley Fleming and her husband David of Stoneham. He was the nephew of Sonny Buonarosa and his wife Pat of Reading, his brothers in-law Stephen Romano and his wife Laura of Georgetown and Robert Romano and his wife Ellen of Dennis Port. He was also the son in-law of Lena Romano of Saugus and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Eunice Baldonelli of Bradford who provided exceptional care to Bob over the past few years.

His Funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham on Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be at Wood End Cemetery in Reading.
