John A. Doucette, Jr., 83, of Danvers formerly of Wakefield died on Tuesday, April 30 at his residence.
Born in Wakefield on May 7, 1929 he was the son of the John A. and Cinderella (DelRossi) Doucette.
Mr. Doucette was a graduate of Wakefield High School. He was the owner of the former Cubby Hole Stationers in Wakefield. Mr. Doucette was a Korean War Army Veteran. He was a member of the Wakefield Elks and Wakefield Kiwanis Club.
Mr. Doucette is survived by his wife Nancy J. (Terhune) Doucette, his son Jack Doucette and his wife Louise of Saugus, his daughter Pam Babcock and her husband Tom of North Reading, his granddaughter Laura Babcock, his brother Robert Doucette and his wife Patricia of New Paul's, New York and his brother-in-law Joseph Schwarz of Wakefield. He was predeceased by his sister Charlotte Schwarz.
A funeral service will be held in the First Baptist Church, 8 Lafayette St., Wakefield on Friday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday from 4-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 8 Lafayette St., Wakefield, MA 01880.
