John A. Dussault, Jr., 79, of Wakefield died on Friday, April 6 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
Born in Boston on November 30, 1938, he was the son of the late John A. and Irene (Malinowski) Dussault.
Mr. Dussault was raised in Everett and had been a Wakefield resident since 1972. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. Mr. Dussault had retired in 2002 from Verizon and was a member of IBEW local 2222.
He was the husband of the late Edna F. (Barry) Dussault. Mr. Dussault is survived by his three sons; John R. Dussault and his wife Tanya of North Andover, Kevin M. Dussault and Kyle G. Dussault both of Wakefield and his two grandchildren; Stasia and Nathaniel Dussault. He was predeceased by his brother Robert F. Dussault.
His Funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10am. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wakefield Interfaith Food Pantry, 467 Main St., Wakefield, MA 01880 or to the Homes for Our Troops, 6 Main St., Taunton, MA 02780.
