John Flynn

John J. Flynn, 30, a life long Wakefield resident died on Monday, January 9.

Born in Melrose on July 17, 1981 he was the son of Cheryl A. Flynn of Wakefield and the late Dennis R. Flynn.

John was raised and educated in Wakefield. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 4 of Boston, MA. John was an avid motorcycle and car enthusiast and had ridden his motorcycle in many charity rides.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his sister Sheryl E. Oliveira and her husband Fernando of Tewksbury, his three nephews; Jake, Nick, Sean and his niece Isabella. He was the grandson of Ralph and Barbara DeCecca of Methuen and the late Salvatore and Gloria Zappala.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Tuesday at 11am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
