John Fraser

John L. Fraser, 86 of Billerica and former Stoneham resident died Friday July 20 at the E.N. Rogers Veterans Administration Hospital in Bedford. He was born in Stoneham on November 6, 1932 and was the son of the late Joseph H. and Elizabeth (MacLean) Fraser. He was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Saint Patrick High School. After graduation he entered the U.S Air Force and served 20 years before retiring as a Tech Sgt. He later went on to work for the California Department of Corrections until his final retirement.

John was the beloved husband of Ruby J. (Hodson) Fraser and the late Jane (Hawkins) Fraser. He was the loving father of Beth Matthews, Joseph R. Fraser and Jan Duroy and her husband Jeff, all of California. He was the stepfather of Susan McLaughlin. He was the brother of Alexander Fraser of Stoneham and the late Joseph P. Fraser, Anne Ambrose, Jean Fraser, Hugh B. Fraser and Elizabeth Foskitt. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Patrick Church 71 Central Street Stoneham on Saturday August 24 at 10:00 am.
