John Gianino

John J. Gianino, 75, of Lynnfield died on Saturday, May 7 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Waltham on August 3, 1935, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Elizabeth (Chapin) Gianino.

Mr. Gianino was a graduate of St Johns Prep, Class of 1953 and Providence College, 1957. He was a retired Vice President for John Hancock Life Insurance Company and had volunteered for the Archdiocese of Boston. He was also a member of the Society of Actuaries (SOA).

Mr. Gianino had been a Lynnfield resident since 1957 and was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield.

Mr. Gianino was the husband of Elaine (Barry) Gianino. He was the father of John J. Gianino Jr. and his wife Maribeth of Rockland and Paul B. Gianino and his wife Lauren of Eliot, ME. He is also survived by his 2 granddaughters Nicole and Sarah. Mr. Gianino was predeceased by his sister Mary Heald.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave Wakefield, on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Salem & Grove St., Lynnfield at 10 o'clock. A period of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 – 8 P.M. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
