., 76, a life long resident of Stoneham died on Tuesday, December 25 at his home.
Born in Melrose on October 26, 1936 he was the son of the late
John
L
. and Louise R. (Dulong)
Neiss
.
Jack was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1955 and the Woburn Business School. He was a retired financial analyst for AVCO in Wilmington.
Jack had a very wide circle of friends and was interested in everyone he met. He was a member of the Quannapowitt Players. He enjoyed working in his yard and was very good at propagating house plants. He also enjoyed cooking. Jack was a self-taught piano player and liked most kinds of music He loved going to Ogunquit, ME and also spending time with relatives in Lyman, ME. He had a very special relationship with his niece Mary and her family and enjoyed spending time with them at holidays and family events.
Jack is survived by his sister, Sally Ann Dowd (Mrs. Vincent J.) of Atkinson, NH, his niece Mary Ann Ebner (Mrs. Brent J.) of E. Hampstead, NH and his nephew, Stephen M. Dowd of Alton, NH.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
