John Salera

John L . Salera , 90, of Stoneham, died on Wednesday, February 15 at the Wingate at Reading.

Born in Woburn on August 7, 1921 he was the son of the late Francesco and Benedetta (Fascione) Salera .

Mr. Salera was raised in Stoneham. During WWII he served in the US Army Air Corp. as a Sgt. He had retired from Atlantic Gelatin in Woburn.

Mr. Salera was a member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham and also a charter member of the Marconi Club of Stoneham.

Mr. Salera was the husband of the late Concetta M. (DeTeso) Salera . He was the father of Linda A. Salera of Stoneham. He was the brother of the Melia Brobst of Stoneham and late Albert and Anthony Salera and Flora Del Rossi. He was the cousin of Clara DiMarco of Stoneham.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Saturday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 9 o'clock. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
