John Martinoli

John J. Martinoli, of Wakefield, died on November 16 at the Winchester Hospital.

He was born on June 6, 1943 and was the loving son of the late Albert and Ida (Magnano) Martinoli.

John was a graduate of Revere High School class of 1961. He was a graduate of Boston State College, and received his Masters in Education from Cambridge College. John was a Wakefield resident for the past 25 years. He was a longtime math teacher at the Marshall Simonds Middle School in Burlington. He was very involved with all of the Burlington athletics, and was an assistant coach on the Varsity Football team for many years.

John was the beloved husband of Irene (Kalogeris) Martinoli. He was the loving father of Joanna Christopoulos of Laconia, NH and Maria Zamakis and husband Dimitrios of Peabody. He was the sister of Anita Scanga of CO. John is also survived by his 2 loving grandsons; Nicholas, Matthew and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
