John White

John Frederic White of Wakefield, age 89 died October 9, 2010. He was born in Wakefield on December 4, 1920 and was he son of the late William H. & Charlotte (Pothier) White. Mr. White spent many years in the Mid West before retuning to Wakefield in the 1970's. He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service office in Andover. He was a member of Saint Joseph Church, the Cosmopolitan Square Dance Club. He was also a W.W. II veteran and served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. White is survived by his wife Elizabeth A. (O'Leary) Mackey-White. Also survived by her family, Kevin Mackey of IN, Kathleen Mackey of Watertown, Stephen Mackey and his wife Margaret of Somerville, Paula Mackey of Somerville and the late Joseph Mackey and 7 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren. He was the brother of Edith White of Osterville and the late William, Edward, Emma, Robert "Roger", and Alfred White. He was the uncle of Ann Toomey & Jane White of Reading and Robert White of Chicopee Falls.

Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Friday October 15 beginning at 10 am to be followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 11:30. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
