Joseph H. Boudreau of Stoneham died Saturday August 20 at age 91. Born in Canada on September 5, 1919 the son of the late Henry & Margaret (Forest) Boudreau. Mr. Boudreau came to the United States at age 5 and was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. He was a retired clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Boudreau was a W.W. II veteran and served with the U.S. Army in combat operations during D-Day and the invasion of Normandy.
He was the beloved husband of the late Edna (Fishburne) Boudreau. He was the brother of the late Leo, Francis, Arthur, Clement, Romeo, Rene and Raymond Boudreau, Stella Sillari, Blanche Lamothe, Viola Benoit, Margaret Basteri & Evelyn Aylward. He is also survived by his favorite sister-in-law, Irene Harris of Wilmington and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Wednesday at 9am to be followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10:00. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home Tuesday 5-8 pm.
