, 81, of Wakefield died Tuesday, November 29 at the Wakefield Care and Rehab Center.
Born in Wakefield on May 4, 1930 he was the son of the late George B. and Janet (MacLaren)
DeRoche
.
Mr.
DeRoche
was a graduate of Wakefield High School and had attended evening classes at Northeastern University while working. He was a retired highway engineer for the Commonwealth of MA.
Mr.
DeRoche
was a member of St.
Joseph
parish in Wakefield and also a member of the Crystal Community Club and the Wakefield Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his sister Mary Paris of Wakefield and brothers William
DeRoche
of Wakefield and Robert
DeRoche
of Saugus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr.
DeRoche
was predeceased by his siblings Jean Holloway and George and John
DeRoche
.
His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St.
Joseph
Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
