Joseph Bourque

Joseph G . Bourque , 83, a life long Wakefield resident, died Friday, November 13, at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Born in Wakefield on December 15, 1925 he was the on of the late Melbourne and Minnie Bourque .

Mr. Bourque was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1943. He had retired from the Town of Wakefield as Head of the Maintenance Department at the Wakefield High School. Mr. Bourque enjoyed square dancing, bowling and traveling.

He was the husband of the late Diane J. (Park). Mr. Bourque is survived by his son Jerry J. Bourque and his wife Allison of Peabody, his three daughters; Cathy M. Baldi and her husband John of Melrose, Amy E. Downing and her husband Michael of Deerfield, NH and Sheila A. Bourque and her partner Janet Walker of Gray's Lake, IL., his sister Shirley McNulty of Watertown, his companion Lynne Schubert of Chelmsford. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Bourque was predeceased by his brother Paul Bourque and his sister Claire Fone.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St, Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
